Questioning
Ideas, research, leadership, systems, science, and the discipline of thinking beyond the obvious answer.
The most interesting discoveries often emerge where disciplines intersect. I've spent much of my life exploring those intersections.
Entrepreneurship, public administration, education, technology, science, music, and the natural world: different interests, connected by a desire to understand and create.

The through line
I’ve always been interested in how people think, how systems work, and what happens when a compelling idea meets the determination to act on it.
I've always been more interested in connecting disciplines than choosing between them.
My academic foundation is in political science and public administration. Those disciplines sharpened my interest in institutions, incentives, leadership, and the consequences of decisions—especially decisions that shape other people’s opportunities.
That perspective has traveled with me into entrepreneurship, real estate, professional education, and the creation of new products and ventures.
I’ve also pursued scientific study and an ongoing interest in intellectual property, biology, and emerging technology. The more I learn, the more I appreciate how much remains to be discovered.
Outside the professional sphere, music, photography, nature, and thoughtful conversation provide a different kind of education. They make space for imagination and for seeing familiar things differently.
“Technology should expand what people can do—without diminishing their judgment, creativity, or agency.”
